    First Amendment right?

what if the county passed a law and police arrested anyone who paints a Nazi symbol, or “KKK” or “White Lives Matter” ? Obvious 1st Amendment violation too?

cant regulate political speech yet. And can’t do content neutral on private property either. Home owners associations can ban it, but not a criminal offense.

This is the kind of cop whose kneecaps you beat with a baseball bat.

The police officer is absolutely wrong here for letting his temper guide his behavior. Threatening to whoop the guy like that was childish, stupid, unprofessional and dangerous.

That said, I really want to see the minute or two before the video started. I also want to know if the police officer really was on the guy's neck as he claimed during the part of the encounter we don't see.

In any reasonable traffic stop, officers have the authority to order you out of the car. So assuming the stop was justifiable (expired tags), it was probably a lawful order. Still, in the 34 years I've been driving, I've been pulled over plenty and I've never been ordered out of my car. So even if legally the officer had the authority to order the motorist out of the car, I wonder how often he actually does that and who he chooses to order out -- especially for something as minor as expired tags (based on the officer's behavior, I suspect we know the answer, but yeah, I'd like to see what happened leading up to what we saw).

I didn’t think the Louisville cops could look worse.

    I was wrong.

Somewhere, someone is deleting an “at least they didn’t watch her die” tweet.

There's been weekly street fighting (or attempts at it) between left-wing thugs and right-wing 3 percenters and/or other racists for at least the past year in Portland. But the death of George Floyd and all that's happened since has poured gasoline on the situation.

So a true leader of any political stripe should, and would, try to diffuse the situation to keep the violence from getting worse in Portland. Instead we have Trump, who is sending in federal troops and arresting people nowhere close to federal property, in a desperate attempt to provoke a confrontation and spark his dying re-election campaign.

The mayor and governor have, what, no moral agency here?
