Y'all, it's been just less than 24 hours since Arkansas got a statewide mask ordinance. It goes into effect Monday, but the batshit craziness of the anti-maskers has been on full display. I have since learned that the mask ordinance is ...

    UnConstitutional
A test run for implanting microchips
    Socialism
    Communism
Paving the way for when sharia law is enacted
An attempt to outlaw concealed carry (because they believe wearing a mask means you can't carry)

I'm trying to find a legitimate source to link to, but it looks like Newsom is saying counties on the watch list won't be opening class buildings when school restarts.

So why are Germany, South Korea, Japan, Finland, Norway and others doing so well? If there is no other way, why have they seemed to get through this without a New York situation?

The US didn't have to be as bad as it is now. We needed to just wait this out a little longer, adhere to mask orders and had leadership actually lead.

And to achieve herd immunity, tens of millions of people will need to risk their lives, possible perminant lung damage, possible cognitive damage and hundreds of thousands will die. Who in your family will you ask to risk all of that? Because statistically speaking, with tens of millions getting this, there is a pretty good chance that will be the case. Who in your family will you ask to die to achieve herd immunity? Because while death is not a guarantee, there is a chance especially if the person who gets it has underlying health problems or is over a certain age. Are you willing to take that risk on yourself? And don't give me a thing about you taking personal responsibility because we can't achieve herd immunity if you do.

Kemp and DeSantis have basically sold their political souls to a shyster who couldn't make an honest buck, and they don't realize how they're being played like Nero's fiddle. They eked out election victories by the narrowest of margins (or outright cheated to do so), but act like they have no reason to represent either their constituency or the entire population of their respective states.

    Govern for the people?

Worse, their inability to separate politics from personal responsibility has taken thousands of people's livelihoods -- and lives -- as well. History will not be kind when this is over. I do hope they get correctional facilities named in their honor, since if it were up to me, they'd be enjoying the hospitality of one.
