The Original Six NHL logos are some of the best. Partial to the Wings, but Blackhawks, Bruins and Canadiens are instantly recognizable.

They were all great back in the day. I do wish they brought them back:

Supposedly Ebbets Field Flannels offered a very limited run of the early 1900s style reproduction woolen sweaters during the 1990s, but they were so expensive to produce they had to be priced over the moon and they discontinued the line.

Still you'd think it would be possible to make "replica" versions out of acrylic, etc etc, and bring em down into reasonable price territory.

They lose points with this trophy, which looks like it has become infected with something much worse than smallpox.

Actually, I like the Borg-Warner Trophy and the ceremonial milk for the race winner (except when Emerson Fittipaldi was trying to promote his orange groves).

Love it. You have reminded me of the great Rudy Martzke story about the extent of the Floridians' media relations efforts.

I think it would look a little classier if they engraved the winners instead of the faces that look like tumors.

One of my favorite Frank Deford articles was a little takedown he did on the race back in 1982.
