I have figured out why Trumpitty Dumbtitty is so adamant about kids returning to school.

He's tired of that kid who is hanging around his house asking, "Dad, do you remember my name yet? Dad?"

Right now, according to Georgia Tech researchers, if you attend a gathering in my county with 25 people there is an 86% probability that you are being exposed to the virus.

Send my kid to school and that's 6 periods of gatherings with at least 25 people every single day. That's not counting the times between classes.

Feel free to do the statistical breakdown. I don't care if my 80% figure is accurate. The point is, the risk is absurd.

That's the point. They want herd immunity before Trump's second inauguration.

For the week ending Sunday, states with GOP governors had a collective positive test rate of 12.86%; Democrats' states checked in at 5.26%.
We're supposed to be in this together, right? Yet Trumpists' enclaves are the places you go if you want freedumb from a mask requirement. Theirs are the states that have claimed this thing was just the flu and was exaggerated merely by the libruhl media to get Our President.
We're several months into this thing and some people just won't get it. Because their dear leader has told them to forget it. He has told them to jump off a cliff, and they've been eager to do it. Notice how they lag in testing but have the clear majority of everything else.

14 days quarantine is pretty much standard when someone is exposed. Two weeks with no symptoms is safe. No problem with that. If I came from Alabama to NY I'd be doing 14 days, right? Go to the nursing home, 14 days before you get a bed.

Spanish researchers concluded herd immunity was not a real thing.

R0 is 1.09 here. Doubling rate is 22 days. 14 day positive 12.8%. Edit - that's statewide, my county is the highest in the state. 277 cases a day.

Our current stat is >99% for a gathering of 25 or more.

And the schools do NOT have a plan. How do they do active shooter drills or tornado drills and maintain social distance?

You have the link? I'm curious why they think that.

Because our state government is run by people who deserve to be aggressively interrogated by Jack Bauer over their failures, we don’t have a statistic telling us our chance of getting infected at a gathering of 25 or more people. I assume it’s somewhere north of 99 percent.
