That's what they all say - like that 30-year-old guy from Ohio who mocked the virus and was dead a week later.

Well, no one was at the start. Then Chef kept making stupid, challenging posts, and he deservedly got attacked.

I wore a mask when I mowed the lawn because grass and dirt were flying around everywhere. Before I masked up, I would do that and when I blew my nose, it would come out black. No other times.

I hate wearing a mask, but I do it because the facts are no longer in dispute, I'm a responsible member of society, and it may keep me from getting sick or making someone else sick. I can't wait for it to no longer be necessary.
I do get tickled when I see someone alone in a car wearing a mask. I admire your willingness to step up, but that's really overkill.

Long before COVID, my state’s legislators had the insight and forethought to enact stand-your-ground laws. If I feel that my health is threatened by people coming toward me who are not wearing masks, I can just shoot them.

Of course, this is also a concealed carry state, so it is quite possible that those folks might be armed. That is why it is crucial that I make sure I have the drop on those folks and assert my Second Amendment rights as quickly as I can.

as I said on another thread the other day, the idea that we're still arguing over masks in late July is just heartbreaking.

I don't have the energy to get angry about it, but jesus fucking christ how long do you want to drag this out because you can't make even the smallest sacrifice to your own fucking comfort?

We all have someone to see that we aren't getting to see. Please get with the program.

Society doesn't function if all we want us our freedoms without paying any attention to our responsibilities and civic duty.

People think they do not help. They cite the early WHO advisory.

I'm the house errand runner and when I putter around, I have a mask with me and put it on if I go inside.

It is hot as the surface of the sun here, so going outside for a walk is a non-starter, but when it was cooler, I didn't wear a mask but the neighborhood walking trails and local parks were pretty sparse, so either never saw anyone or kept my/our distance.

We more or less haven't left the house for the last four months as we're both working from home. We do use the HOA pool and they limit how many people can be there and also do a health screening, so it seems safe. We don't wear a mask walking up but there's never a line of people to get in. Maybe we should have a mask on then, I'm not really sure.

We both have been exceedingly cautious in our approach and it is beyond frustrating that the many-headed dumbasses in our community, region and state have been reluctant with masks or actively campaigning against them. We've already decided that businesses that are anti-mask, we won't support with our money and as for the people, I struggle mightily with my thoughts. I mean, sometime I want those people to get sick and die.

And that's terrible. It isn't who I am, and for the people who get sick or injured through no fault of their own, I have sympathy, but like the motorcycle tough guys who won't wear a helmet, I don't feel bad when they get banged up and I feel bad for their families for their loss. But dude you made a choice and you chose badly.
