Wonder if the Jays go "road-team" only

They'd have to be the designated home team by rule in those games previously announced as being played in Toronto, right?

Just spitballing, but maybe they could split time in New York between Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. 15 “home” games at both.

Somehow I believe the largest capacity stadium in AAA could be made minimally adequate for MLB play without massive reconstruction. Bring in a few of the Musco portable light towers to augment the permanent lights. It ain't like playing in a rock strewn cow pasture.

It would be an interesting sabermeteric experiment to determine (in theory) what the home field advantage is really worth.

Is the Field of Dreams venue not ready to go?

I half want to mention San Juan, which is in a modified Stage 2, but MLB's romance with that city did not go that great the first time around.

Nobody gives a damn about your fantasy team!

(He's on both of mine, but first priority is I hope the guy is okay.)

I would assume the answer is yes....but Rosenthal just floated the possibility of no home park

If you were the Toronto organization, wouldn't you sure as hell rather have some kind of semi-home field, whether it's in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Iowa or wherever?

The more I think about it, Dyersville might make some kind of deranged sense: a remote location, relatively easier to maintain isolation, Field is built for tv performances, etc etc, and the original FOD field could be used as a workout field for taxi squad players.

Hasn't Milwaukee been the default ballpark for displaced teams for the past 20 years or so? Or did that stop when Bud Selig stepped down?
