Blue Jays are in Fenway right now, tonight. That could work.

I apologize in advance since it's probably been addressed previously ... but what is the hang-up about Buffalo?

Is the Rangers' old ballpark still up?

Triple-A park. Not up to the "major league" standards the players want. Plus, not set up for adequate video replay, lighting for TV, etc

    OK. Appreciate it.
    I guess I get that. I guess.

Still up, but has been reconfigured for football. The Double-A park in Frisco is actually pretty nice, holds about 12K. Frisco led Double-A in attendance in 2019.

But with such short notice, Buffalo makes the most sense.

Beyond what the players want, there's also the issue that social distancing becomes impossible in a pissant little minor league clubhouse.

MLB has been cranking up the requirements for minor league facilities for some time now -- that was one of the sticking points in the wrangling over a new majors/minors agreement this year. I doubt the locker room facilities at Buffalo are like some moldy high school joint with clothes hanging on rusty nails.

Spitballing on Blue Jays: New York is pretty under control. Two stadiums. Plenty of hotels to create a home “bubble.” Certainly some schedule wrangling, but could be possible.

Blue Jays being on the road all season is competitively unfair. Though, that probably is an afterthought at this point.

"Old" being a relative term in this case.
