    That’s sneaky funny.

This is turning into a complete joke. Sure, MLB can juggle the schedule, but does anybody really think this is the only time it is going to happen? Are the Marlins going to pause for two weeks?

Is it just me or is this starting to seem like a big clusterf**k?

I seem to recall that this was a very tight schedule, only a few off days. It's going to be hard to make up games without adding double headers.

It won't take much more to blow it up.

    I think it's 60 games in 67 days.

    Games to be made up:

Marlins (7): Four vs. Orioles, three against Nationals
    Nationals (3): Three at Marlins
Orioles (4): Four vs. Marlins, but getting in two home games against the Yankees
    Phillies (4): Four vs. Yankees
Yankees (4): Four vs. Phillies, but getting in two road games against the Orioles

Yankees scheduled to play three games at Baltimore on Aug. 3-5 (that's next Monday-Wednesday)
Yankees play another three games at Baltimore on Sept. 4-6

To answer Moddy's question, it's been a clusterf**k since the sides were squabbling in May.

This is the money quote from MLB shuts down Marlins and Phillies, revises schedule for NL East, AL East teams amid COVID-19 outbreak

"Despite the outbreak, commissioner Rob Manfred said Monday the owners have not yet seriously discussed canceling the season. The league believes it has mechanisms in place (60-man roster, taxi squad, etc.) to manage an outbreak and continue play. Now MLB is apparently prepared to revise the schedule on the fly to make it work."

    But apparently they have jokingly?

And that's just from the vid.

Indians/White Sox making up a rainout from yesterday as we type. Part of a doubleheader.

    Won't be the last.

The tipping point was when the Washingtonians said, "We're not going to take our talents to South Beach." Excellent move. Forced MLB to put the Jeters in time out. They should be contracted, but that's an issue for another day.
I still wonder how this season, which was already of questionable merit, is going to have a semblance of competitive integrity. You might have a situation in which some teams play the full 60 and others play 55. If they get that far. And that's not good.

MLB doesn't care. They only want to get to the postseason to cash in all that TV money.

Plus, some teams (like the Washingtonians) lose games against a team like the Marlins.

They should just pretend that this was intentional and like the NBA & NHL, teams who aren't relevant to the playoff picture don't play.

I'm not sure why Yankees-Baltimore couldn't have started today.
