The Pens-Habs series looked like the most certain lock on paper. But if Carey Price gets on a roll and gets enough help from Shea Weber and Co., can they slow down Sid, Geno, et al for two more games? Or does Pittsburgh wake up and dump Montreal in short order?

Chara slammed Pacioretty? I recalled the one in which Chara slammed Henrik Zetterberg's head into a stanchion some years back. Cheap shot, no punishment.

Tkachuk's biggest problem is his reputation and history damage his chances of earning benefit of the doubt.

It was Pacioretty. Happened in Montreal.

Surprised how little push Toronto showed late in the game. Canucks looked terrible.

It had the Habs’ owner calling for the RCMP to have Chara taken behind the Centre Bell and shot.

Caps-Lightning is a good, entertaining game. Words I never thought I'd type on August 3

Whalercanes look pretty good. Andrei Svechnikov the first in franchise history to turn the trick in postseason.

At some point, they need to be just the Hurricanes, you know??

Little known fact, they became the Hurricanes last century. Hockey in Carolina is old enough to drink. Calling them the Whalercanes stopped being amusing 10 years ago.

Puck drop pushed back to 8:20 for Habs Pens. Ice will be terrible.

When they were discussing the bubble approach, I assumed some games would be played in secondary arenas. Not sure if that is bad for TV, or if they need them for practices. There are likely only a few pads in each city that are the right size.

Crappy ice was apparent on both penalty shots Saturday. I’m a goalie dad and have sweated out many shootouts in tournaments. At that point the ice is often on its 7th game of the day and I’m always hoping for dekes.

Wow. The Penguins have been terrible on the power play. Price has been fantastic, but 1-for-12 including 5-on-3 twice, will get you sent home early.
