Good Lord, yes. Especially California. Olympic/Pebble/Harding have zero relation to Riviera/La Jolla.

Someone growing up in Redding has no connection to contending at Torrey. To say nothing of Clovis.

Two weeks ago, there was talk of surgery for Koepka. Yesterday, he's getting stretched out during the round -- and that looked damn painful.

This thing is bunched up, but damn if he's not the one to catch.

In both North and South Carolina, one would be AMAZED at how parochial some natives can be. To some, being from 10 miles away is reason enough to start a fight. You think they're linking Asheville to Pinehurst or Clemson (Upstate) to Hilton Head (Lowcountry)?

Congratulations, CBS ... you know a couple of spots on the map. Leave it at that, please.

I lived in Oakland for a year, and either city would be offended if you implied they shared anything. I played the Berkeley course (excellent but not tourney caliber) because I knew someone and once, once, I played Olympic due to, well, a girlfriend's dad if you must know. But we went to the City (as they so annoyingly call themselves) for work and, well, the occasional girlfriend. Otherwise no. Somebody grows up in the East Bay or Walnut Creek, the area of San Francisco where this course is is probably less familiar than Alaska.

Lifelong Durhamites have never been to Raleigh, and vice versa. Gwen knew a teacher who had never been out of Nash County her entire life, not even across the train tracks to see the other side of Rocky Mount.

"I can see Tarboro from my back porch ... but I've never been there. Or Pinetops. Or even Leggett."

And, while we're on this kick - at the risk of hijacking the thread - can we PLEASE get people to stop with "Raleigh-Durham?" Too many think that because they flew into Raleigh-Durham International Airport that the area must be similarly named. Try "Raleigh," "Durham" or "the Triangle."

I have lived in Greater Boston for 46 years, although I'm mostly on the Cape now. If dropped blindfolded into West Roxbury or Hyde Park, I'd have to flag down a cop to figure out where the hell I was.

Which is technically Morrisville, I believe.

Yes. But blink and you're in Wake Forest, Cary or Apex. Or Durham if you're heading west. Or Knightdale or Zebulon if you're going east.

Back to golf ... what crazy thing will Dustin Johnson do tomorrow to lose yet another major?

I've got "tests positive for the virus before his final round."

Poor putting. How many majors would DJ have by now if he was even a decent putter by Tour standards?
