The Big Ten and MAC are business partners
The leagues play so many non conference games with each other in revenue sports the B1G subsidizes a lot of MAC schools
The Big Ten didn’t have to go first because the MAC did

Nobody wants to be first. So I suspect the Power 5 will wait until they all agree. Then they’ll put out a joint statement.

Nah, more like nobody wants to be last.

I think it's more who is going to come up with a rational that gives them they must cover. Sadly because pandemic should be enough but such is the world ... er country we live. Once they have an excuse that will get the fewest people mad at them, they'll pull the plug. If anyone doesn't want to be first it's because they want to pile on with the rational.

There’s a logic problem in the players’ statement. In one section, they claim everything is great medically. The protocols are beautiful. Greatest protocols ever. Then they talk about a union but only in the context of health issues. If everything is perfect, why would they need a union’s protection?
    Can’t have it both ways.
I’d like to see players get more rights. Six years of health insurance after final season is great. NIL is fine by me. They need to be protected from the Trumpandemic.
But if they want to be protected from the Trumpandemic and the science says they can’t play football safely, the thing they are demanding is the shutdown of the season.
Look at this from the administration point of view. We are just now learning that this disease leads to heart problems. Not just irritating skin lesions. Heart problems. The cause of death in nearly all football deaths.
Every AD and coach is justified in fearing his or her team will have one of these. That is a bridge too far.

I fully expect Central Florida to hold a scrimmage, then declare itself 2020 National Champions.

The G5 schools can put on a brave face all they want. But at the end of the day, who’s paying their bills?

Once these power conference dominoes completely fall, there won't be anything left. Everyone will be forced to call it a year. The G5 left standing is the middle now as it is. Many smaller conferences and levels have already called it, now the power guys. The same sort of goes for the SEC. They can stick it out all they want, but in the end what fun is it to just have an SEC season? I guess that's their wildest dream, so never mind.
