The NCAA does not control major college football - and wasn't about to do anything there, other than make it impossible to recruit - and desired not to do anything for FCS or lower divisions beyond the document it released in late July/early August.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. There was just no financial incentive to make it work.

Tim “I’m Not A Reporter” Brando wants us to know the Big Ten really voted 8-6 to bail on fall sports.
Sorry, but I don’t think they’re making a decision of that magnitude on a simple majority.

Just remember, children: If SEC football has to shut down, the libruhl media will be to blame.

Don’t care who provides it. I’m just curious if there is any reputable report — and Brando admits he’s not a real journalist— that says the real vote was 8-6.

What’s a reputable report? One with 7 anonymous sources in it?

At this point, I'll take anything from a news outlet. Is there anything?

What made Dan Patrick right and Tim Brando wrong? They do the same thing. I’ll bet you can guess which one actually talks about college sports all day too.

The Big Ten wanted this done, tried to get it done Sunday. Then Monday. It got done with just enough cushion to spare on Tuesday.

FWIW I expect it’ll fall apart in the ACC.
