The virus is watching. The virus is not pleased.

Even the Athletic Director at Alabama is in on the hoax virus conspiracy to steal football away from you.

    Sad.

Whitmer also let the word go down it's extremely unlikely competition in football will be approved any time this fall, barring an absolutely major breakthrough in testing or treatments.

Not sure where this leaves the NFL.

I don’t think the virus is a hoax. Please don’t suggest I do.

But if that cluster of kids wearing masks is the difference between football and not, just call it off.

The Lions can either play in an empty dome there or in an empty dome somewhere else. It’ll be an empty dome either way.

How many clusters of how many kids on how many campuses does it take to scuttle the season?

The Lions don't make the playoffs either way, so nothing changes.

Maybe if the dome is empty of the other team each Sunday as well, they have a shot.

I think both reports may be right. The Detroit Free Press and Patrick reported it was 12-2 to not play football on Sunday night but the conference had not taken an offiical vote. On Monday there was a considerable uproar, notably from Harbaugh and Day. By Tuesday when the official vote was taken perhaps four presidents flipped.

The question of course would be if the presidents flipped because they truly wanted to see football played this fall or because once it was apparent that the measure to suspend play had a majority some presidents went ahead and voted to play. That way the University president could have it both ways. There would be no football but he/she could return to campus and blame the other schools for the season being postponed.

The political sociology of all organizations suggests if there were two different votes the 8-6 came first, and then, seeing they were in the minority, four schools flipped to make sure they were on the winning, "Responsible" side.

Never count out a sneaky 9-7 with a 38-27 loss
    In the wild card
