No wonder they don't go to class. Too busy infecting one another at parties.

Heard this story a couple of years ago. A group of newish college-level officials got chosen to work a scrimmage at Oklahoma. They were psyched up and as they're walking into Owen Field, one of them started a Facebook Live showing them arriving. Within five minutes, the coordinator of officials called the officials because someone on the Oklahoma staff saw it and it was showing drills the team was running.

Does this go for no-show classes, as well?

What did they expect to happen? Have students live like monks, only emerging from their dorms for studious endeavors, while of course wearing masks and practicing physical distancing at those times?

The online petition which the crowd at the Colosseum put together when they heard the gladiators wouldn’t fight was epic

Anyone else find it bizarre about all of the things conservatives have no problem swallowing whole - conspiracy theories, Trump's "chess moves," etc. But they have a hard time taking the word of the scientific community regarding COVID-19. Seriously, the Big 12, the ACC and the SEC have the same info the other conferences have - they just assume they'll be able to avoid COVID-19?

It's about money and they'll run with it till it lays down. Hopefully before it lays down and dies.

FWIW, there is one conference that has said it hopes to play in the spring and appears to actually be forming a plan to do so. The SWAC released its 2021 spring schedule today. Six conference games beginning Feb. 26, one non-conference game, a bye week on March 13 (which coincides with the league's basketball tournament), and the conference championship game May 1.
Yeah, it's a small-time league, but it does provide a rough timeline and format that any of these leagues that have "postponed" football until the spring will probably follow. Also noteworthy that a league infamous for being an organizational shit show is actually out ahead of the pack on something with a national scope.
