    Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts, folks. Now I need to dust off my obit writing chops, which I haven't used since I was a stringer at my hometown paper waaaaay back in the late 90s.

    24 year old in my area died from covid in July. He had tested negative, but had a cough for a while. Went to bed one night not feeling well and never woke up again. Coroner ruled covid. In the aftermath, his mother with whom he lived became sick and spent 12 days in the hospital.

    His friends don't believe he had it.

    We have descended into a special level of hell for stupid people who'll believe any conspiracy but not the facts.

    A columnist at the IndyStar wrote today that the generation that came of age during "Animal House" is now running the colleges and telling kids not to party. Hadn't thought of it that way, but yeah.
