I wasn't wading into that, just the stupidity of saying a 4-pound chunk of wood and metal is not a deadly weapon.

So you honestly think that if someone starts whaling on you with a skateboard, it's basically like being in a pillow fight?
You've said some really dumb stuff on this board over the years, but this might be in the top 10.

    Here it comes ...

He also insisted he was not racist.
    "That's not me," he said.

You have a problem with them, but not with the vigilante carrying an assault rifle who killed two people and crippled a third?

Obviously, you could beat someone to death with a skateboard. Stupid to say otherwise. I think the difference is that the kid with the gun went to Kenosha with murder in his heart. He learned from his mama and he was further stoked by the fires that are consuming America. Having said that, the people chasing him, in that video, weren't protesting with murder in the hearts and didn't pursue him out of fore-ordained malice. They were reacting to the first murder this kid committed. I don't believe they were trying to kill him, they were trying to protect themselves. That's so different and a reality that cannot be ignored.

It's 2020 hindsight, but when Rittenhouse was on the ground, Skateboard Guy and the others should have piled on, holding him down until they could separate him from the gun. Amazing how fast he turned things around there.
