    Better than green-white-checkered.

Also the Bush brothers must’ve been fed tranquilizers before doing the TV interviews.

Five-lap shootout at Daytona Beach to set the playoff field. This is exactly what NASCAR wanted.

Another wreck. Another red flag. Looked like the 11 turned the 22 at the front. 48 car is bad broke.

That was a ballsy move by Byron and a good save by the 43. A lot of guys would wreck there.

Owned up to the mistake, though.

After two wrecks on the final lap, William Byron’s first Cup win launches him into the playoffs.

Good on Reddick accepting the blame.

Byron thanking God while driving the car sponsored by Falwell Cuckold U was great.

I seriously don' t even know why NASCAR runs races. Just go to a track, have 3-5 lap dash, and go home. That's all they're interested in.

Daytona and Talladega are just a destruction derby in a circle. That's not racing. But NASCAR hasn't been about racing since ... Bill put a bunch of ARCA cars on the track at Talladega in 1969 when the regulars packed up and left. (Or pick about 100 other instances.)

I didn’t realize they’d ditched the plates. Seems like the same shenanigans as always (a stupid makes a stupid move in the middle of a pack).

… since NASCAR stopped being sponsored by cigarettes.
… since NASCAR took a bunch of money to slap a business name on the trophy.
    … since we lost Dale.
… since they stopped racing dirt tracks.
    … since The King retired.
… since that kid from California showed up.
… since they started running road courses.
… since they took the dirty TV money.
    … since they stopped going to Greenville/Orange Speedway/Weaverville/Myrtle Beach/Spartanburg/Maryville/Bowman-Gray/Moyock/Islip/Beltsville/Shelby/Langley/Valdosta.
… since they stopped racing on the beach.
