Jesus. In this time of Covid and 7-inning doubleheaders there really ought to be a mercy rule. On the other hand, the Giants' offense offense has been so putrid the last few years, I'll take it.

Alex Dickerson can now be mentioned in the same sentence as Willie Mays. They share the Giants record with 16 total bases in a single game.

Cash can fuck right off. He admitted they threw at Austin Romine’s head three years ago and then whines that the Yankees retaliated for the three pitches from the day before? The fuck outta here.

Chapman’s last pitch was scary and could have killed the guy. He shouldn’t have done it. But I don’t want to hear Cash whining about it, saying it’s “poor teaching” by the Yankees and “We have a damn stable full of guys who can throw 98.”

Be smart. Say “it’s over” and move on.

What would have made that perfect was Jim Honochick umpiring behind the plate. Alas, he was not part of the WS crew that year.

The light blue alternates that the Blue Jays have been wearing — I guess as a throwback to the era of baby-blue away uniforms — are nice, but I feel like the blue that the front office picked is a wee bit too intense compared to the light blue they wore on the road in the late 1970s.

I may be the only person on the planet who thinks that, but that’s my opinion and there you have it.

Miguel Cabrera is the Tigers' nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award. The same Cabrera ordered by a judge last year to pay child support for two kids and housing for his ex-mistress. Not chosen: Matthew Boyd, who funds a shelter for homeless girls in Africa, or Niko Goodrum, who has led the fight for clean water in Flint.

Aroldis Chapman would like a word.

Well you gotta prop up a guy who battles COVID-10 by donating $250,000 of his prorated $30 million salary this year, has made $306 million in his career and has another $92 million coming the next three years. That's quite a sacrifice.

Hunter Pence, who was DFA'ed last week, is the Giants' nominee.

I don't know the circumstances of Cabrera's child support, but 99 percent of the time, it's better for someone like him to wait until a court determines the child support required rather than paying out without a legal agreement of some sort. Having a legal order to pay child support is not a de facto negative.

Props his HOF resume. I assume he'd go in as a Tiger.
