The problem with Fournette is he has a few hot games and is mediocre the rest of the season. In his two 1,000-yard seasons, he had three of his 100-yard games in a four-game span each year, and had a lot of 17 for 66 games. In 2017 (1,040 yards) and 2019 (1,152 yards), he gained just over 40 percent of his yards for the season in those three games, and pretty much disappeared in the other 13 games. He doesn't make people miss and is awful on the goal line. Last season he averaged 1.3 yards per carry in the red zone and 0.6 yards per carry inside the 10. A crappy offensive line only goes so far in excusing those numbers.

Behind Trubisky and Foles, of course. ;)

Bills are giving CB Tre'Davious White a four-year, $70 million extension, including $55M guaranteed, source tells ESPN. Total value of deal is $82.1M. That’s a Tre’Mendous contract.

For as much talent as he has, Fournette might have been the most overrated college running back of the past decade. All through his career at LSU he was hot and cold. He'd look like a runaway Heisman Trophy winner for three games, then have a mysterious "ankle sprain" or "hamstring pull" -- basically vague and lingering injuries that take anywhere from 2 to 7 weeks to heal -- that would keep him out for the next four. He'd come back and play one or two games and then have another of those injuries. Derrius Guice was a much better, or at least more reliable and consistently productive, running back than Fournette was.
Fournette did a little better with the Jaguars, but still showed some signs of being a flake (the fight at Buffalo, some of his injury issues in 2018). And his performance followed suit. He had some highlight runs, but he also needed a lot of carries to get those 1,000-yard seasons. He was a Toyota Camry with a BMW price and maintenance bill.

Toyota Camrys are more durable and consistent than Leonard Fournette, and get better mileage to boot.

The highlight of Leonard Fournette’s career, with an assist from former Wolverine Blake Countess

re: Fournette, remember that Jacksonville was such a dumpster fire from a player standpoint that the union actually told players not to sign there at one point. So, I'm not going to assume that they knew how to manage him properly. Between that, and the fact that teams would just stack the box against him because they didn't have to respect Bortles, I'm curious to see how he does with the Bucs.

As long as he can still chase down his kids, he’s still a threat

Picked the Raiders on the road in Charlotte for the survivor pool I joined - its about as much fantasy as I can muster. If the Raiders can't beat Charlotte, they won't do anything this year anyway and I can focus on other things.

I had to autodraft my fantasy team this afternoon because I was working. I got Trubisky and have fired my auto-GM
