She's won six majors without dropping a set.

Yeah but he can’t stand her, he will keep looking for ways to bring her uppity ass down a notch.

In 2020, Serena has played 17 matches. Nine have gone to three sets.

Since the restart, she's played nine matches. Seven of them have been three sets.

The first round of the U.S. Open was her first straight-set victory since the restart.

In one universe that’s called “heart of a champion” and “keeping Father Time at bay”.

I said nothing about what that means. I'm just providing numbers to give the people who are arguing over this some information regarding their assertions.

    And?

BTE said he didn't have the stats to back it up, so I gave them to him. She and someone named "Navratilova" have won the most majors without dropping a set.

If you feel the stats I've provided are not relevant to the discussion, that's up to you. I've simply provided information. You are free to do with it what you will.

Osaka looks fantastic. Brady has been great, but I’m not sure anyone’s going to beat Osaka if she plays like this.

Don't look now, but if Serena's going to win this match, she's going to have to do it in ... three sets.

    Must be an Open-era record.

Helen Wills won nine majors without dropping a set. Disappointed that Steffi only did it five times.

    And they're going the distance!

That's eight of 10 since the restart.

Rooting for her to get to finals. Osaka, too. Osaka deserves the chance to beat Williams outright for a US Open. (She was going to, but still.) Williams deserves a chance to make history on one of the sport's best current players.
