    How many people will try to find NBCSN at 4E-1P and be pissed because the game isn't on? They won't know it's on USA and wouldn't be able to find USA even if they did know.

    Yeah, I tuned in early and NBCSN was airing pre-Kentucky Derby stuff. Did not know about USA Network. So ... I missed the hockey game.

    Unreal game. Stars up 1-0. Then Avalanche 2-1. Then 2-2. 3-2 Avs. 3-3. Avs take the lead with 3:50 to play. Stars score 10 seconds later. Then win in overtime.

    Great hockey. Joel Kiviranta scored the 4th and 5th goals. Got a hat trick subbing for Andrew Cogliano. Didn’t even know Cogs was hurt.

    That hat is probably safe. Lightning embarrassed the Islanders in Game 1, then the latter got the kind of game they usually win ... and Tampa beats them in that one, too.

    Two different kinds of gut punch. That's usually too much for any team to overcome.

    I fell asleep during the third period and missed the end.

    I have a love / hate with the Lightning. A team with that much talent should never lose a game. But there is something not right about them, it's like an arrogance or hubris that gets in their way. They are playing so well, though, that maybe they are figuring it out. I think Brayden Point is the kind of player any of us would love to have on our favorite team. He has willed himself into being an elite player.

    I actually like a lot of those players on the Lightning, including former Capitals legend Kevin Shattenkirk. Point is super likable. So is Stamkos. Cooper is likable. So I hope they win it all. Definitely not Vegas. Fuck Ryan Reaves.
