The NFL got an early start yesterday, from what I saw:

    Packers 19, Lions 0
    Falcons 29, Dolphins 9

In reporting the Atlanta-Miami score, Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis said "It looks like Matt Ryan had a really good day."

Oh you wanted full street clothes. My bad. I think Valentine put on a non-jersey Mets shirt but kept his baseball pants. My answer was also a joke. I didn't realize some managers used to suit up rather than put on the gear.

The rules seem to have eased. Mike Scioscia always seemed to wear a pullover jacket, but I thought the rule was he had to have a jersey underneath, Joe Maddon wears what looks like a sweatshirt without a jersey. But they all wear baseball pants and caps.

Francona got talked to about it in Boston when he didn't wear a jersey underneath, but it was explained as a health thing (I think he was wearing some compression clothing under the long sleeve).

I just looked this up to argue a point on Twitter. Two National League teams haven't lost 100 games in a season since they both did it in 1908. Can you name them?

After losing 19-0 yesterday, the Tigers are down 10-2 in the fourth inning in the first of two games today.

    I'll guess Dodgers and Cardinals.

You would be correct, sir. The Cardinals haven't even lost 90 since 1990, I believe.

As a Dodgers fan, I knew them and guessed the Cards because I figured all the other teams around then had lost 100 at least once.

Looked it up afterward and saw the Giants and Reds have only had one each, but the Braves and Phillies have 13 each.

I was surprised to see the Angels have never lost 100 games.
