14 - 7 at the half. I'll take it. D'Eriq King is the real deal.

Clark's teams continue to have a ton of penalties. I hate spotting the other team 60 to 100 yards every damn game. Gives me a rash.

So does Bryant Vincent's offensive play calling.

I find it amusing when the ACC Network's talking heads tell us there are 13,000 fans in attendance this evening. If one of every five seats is occupied, I'll have to get a new pair of glasses. Or something. One of every 10 is more like it, but even that is generous.

    31 - 14 Miami after three. Floodgate's open.

A lot of it comes down to South Florida P5 talent versus second tier Alabama and Mississippi Juco talent.

There was a legit 12k at Legion Field last week. It sure didn't look like Hard Rock does tonight.

31 - 14 final. Offense couldn't run or get first downs. Too many three and outs left the defense absolutely gassed.

Miami's good, and going to get better. D'Eriq King will be more fun to watch against other teams than mine.

ESPN had the U.S. Open semifinals.

ESPN2 had a WNBA game that probably drew 100 viewers.

One of the things I've always enjoyed about CFB is figuring out how a game a couple time zones away may impact the local squad, SOS and all that. With the Pac-12 not playing, and the Playoff field all but set with two SEC teams, the Big 12 champ and the ACC champ - just not really interested. Even the "big match-up" between Bama and LSU doesn't have that much allure.

Part of the problem is that C-USA's television contracts are trash.

Are there any teams or leagues west of the Rockies that are still going to give it a full go?

Does UTEP count? I think it's west of part of the Rockies.

I think it's actually in the Rockies. You cross the Continental Divide on I-10 in New Mexico.
I know Air Force is planning to play as well, at least against Army and Navy. There might be a few other strays.
