Saw some fotos of friends showing their furnace filters since the fires started. Really nasty. Wetted an old t-shirt and stuck it on a fan - after 10 mins it kind of disgusted me. No wonder I've been through about a half-bottle of eyedrops in a week.

You're right, not all depending on region and especially if they were able to harvest before things went to crap. But if you are in a different region or haven't gotten all the harvest it might be.

    Random Wine Review Generator time!

"The 2020 cabneret sauvignon from Hella Pompous Vintners has a distinctive reddish-orange haze, a smoky finish reminiscent of burnt vehicle interiors and pleasant ash and crap overtones. Winner of the California State Fair's Best Poured Quickly Award. Available at most fine wine merchants, online by the box or in a plain paper bag from your friendly neighborhod wino."

Do you really think climate change is behind the hurricanes, the wildfires, and the derecho? And do you think the Paris Accords will stop all those things from happening?

I'm curious if what this thread constitutes is a kind of general malaise about bad things happening and its potential relationship to climate change, or the fact that the earth having warmed 2 degrees since the late 1800s is really the cause of this stuff.

I think it's pretty clear we're making it worse. And we have practical evidence in the way China's air cleared during the shutdown.

I think it’s pretty clear we’re making it worse too. Is that the cause of hideous wildfires? I Dunno. Further, is the world population really anyone’s fault? No. People live longer. That’s a good thing. They also consume more.

We probably have to cut down on consumption, and also globalism.
