Being on the West Coast opens more time windows. They can start games at 7 or 8 p.m. but starting at 10 or 11 p.m. in Atlanta or Florida is too late.

If the question is “What city has the best weather?” the answer is always San Diego.

So two games per day, per facility?
The bubbles make sense, I also figure you have to find places for the teams to workout on their off days. San Diego has SD State, USD, Jack Murphy etc. Arlington has Dallas Baptist, TCU, SMU etc.

They aren't holding practices at whatever Jack Murphy stadium is called now.

Reminds me of a line from The Town when they were breaking into Fenway:

“Last motherfucker to rob the Red Sox this bad was Jack Clark.”

    That’s not the question.

Nor the answer, which is Ventura.

There is good discussion in this thread. Consensus is that more teams in the playoffs means more owners trying to build teams just good enough to make the postseason instead of trying to be great.

80 percent voted no (including myself). Hopefully MLB takes note. If you’re not one of the top 5 teams (I preferred 4, but that’s a different discussion) in the league over 162 games, you didn’t earn a shot at beating one of those teams in three games.

it kinda is, because one thing these playoffs won’t be able to handle is weather disruptions, which very much could happen in Atlanta or Miami this time of year.

    Miami has a retractable roof.

Avoiding Miami is probably Manfred’s way of sticking it up the Marlins’ tailpipe. Add in the nightlife options in Atlanta and Miami... I don’t know if Houston or Dallas have a Gold Club equivalent.
