Agreed. Katie Nolan for better and worse is a television natural.

ESPN has always struggled to produce comedy, going all the way back to the founding. If you're funny in the formats they rely on - SportsCenter; panel/debate shows - they'll mostly leave you alone. But building a "comedy" show from scratch, or even a desk-and-sofa talk show, is anathema.

So Ms. Nolan has nothing to do there.

I disagree. She's not a natural. There's a 25-old woman doing backup sports at the NBC affiliate in my market and she's 10 times more talented than Nolan. Thinks outside the box. Does funny/insightful features. Good social media presence. If you're looking for this, cute as a button.
