Also, Trammell would have walked away with the award if boring were done in the last 10 years.

I covered that Blue Jays team in spring training
Moseby and Barfield are among my favorite interviews
CBS used to get Adderley and Winston Rekert always talked about Jessie Barfield

Loved those Jays teams, especially Tony Fernandez. Fuck Bill Madlock.

Kirk Gibson says his homer off Tom Henke was bigger to him than Eckersley
    Two fun teams to watch

The Jays' rivalry with the Tigers in the 1980s was epic. And this Jays fan agrees Trammell should have won the MVP over Bell in 1987.

The best thing about covering the Jays in Dunedin was if you got your interviews done early, you could go to the trailer
The trailer was behind the home plate stands
You entered a big kitchen with a spread of cold cuts, salad and dressings
But if you were like me and had everything done, you went to the refrigerator
Every shelf and every row in the door was filled with Blue
I would have a couple of Blues, write my story, and do a notebook on the game.
    Another Blue usually was required

Also fuck George King for not putting Pedro Martinez on his MVP ballot in 1999 but voting for David Wells a year earlier.

I was a big Tigers fan during that era despite being in Ontario. Looking at that issue right now the first thing I think of is that Trammell was a very good fielding shortstop, and Bell was a bad outfielder.

Were you in southwestern Ontario: London, Sarnia, Windsor? Huge support for the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions and Wolverines in those areas.

Nope. Near Ottawa. Loved the Expos, hated the Jays.

A certain Thomas Sullivan Magnum nudged me to the Tigers as my AL team. That was great on 1984 because the Expos were really bad at that time.
