I think Webster meant his post as support for LeBron - that he was dragging awful Cleveland teams to deep rounds in the playoffs.

Talk about unfulfilled potential and a failed shot at greatness. Harden Westbrook Durant for 3 seasons in OKC. If they stayed together with this generations Riley or Jackson, that would have been a dynasty for the ages. Maybe the players were too young and immature at the time. But if they had grown together it would have been a spectacular run.

I agree with Webster that LeBron was dragging awful Cleveland teams in his first tenure with the Cavs. I asked the question of who was the second best player on those teams post Carlos Boozer because I can not think who it would have been and am lazy and do not want to go through the rosters to figure it out.

Ah, gotcha. It kind of fluctuated year to year, in amusing ways. I think Daniel "Boobie" Gibson got a brief buzz as an all-star candidate in one half-year, for example, because his numbers swelled thanks to defenses keying in on LeBron.

I’m sure those teams would have made it there without him.

Yeah, that's in the remote vicinity of anything I said or even thought.

The Heat got a lot of help from some unexpected sources
Duncan Robinson transferred to Michigan from Division III Williams
Undrafted after an inconsistent career, he found his game with the Heat
Kendrick Nunn was kicked out of Illinois, landed at Oakland and was a free agent find

It certainly felt like it should have happened. I wasn't sure it would.

For all the talent involved, that's going to be a miserable gig.
