Yeah, that's nuts. They need the fifth-set tiebreak rule.

I'm beginning to think clay might not be Medvedev's best surface.

The FIOS channel guide described the event as "2020 Roland Garros tennis," a "2020 Grand Slam,:" with absolutely no mention as the French Open. This dovetails with news of a survey today that found Gen Xers are less likely to be sports fans than other groups.

Well, the tournament website is rolandgarros.com, and the tournament logo is this:

So I guess the French Open has gone the way of golf's British Open.

Both the ATP and WTA websites have "Roland Garros" on the schedule, not French Open. Not sure if they officially changed the name, but it seems to have been changed pretty much everywhere.

It’s still the French Open to me for those two minutes a year when I talk tennis.

I still call it that, too. And I also call the golf major played in the UK the British Open.

Or at least the Wimbledon fifth-set rule.

You don't recall the Isner-??? Wimbledon match that went like 50-48 in the fifth?

    Mahut. 70-68.

70-68 in the fifth. Still so absurd.
