I mean I agree the NFL dropped the ball by not having contingency plans for what if this happens early, mid or late in the season. I agree they need to come up with a plan for when bye weeks will no longer work. But none of that changes the fact that moving the Steelers-Titans game to the originally scheduled bye week for the two teams is a solution that works in this case and doesn't affect how the NFL can or cannot respond in the future.

I thought the larger taxi squad was so teams could play through positive tests.

Warriors and soldiers don’t get sick days.battles aren’t postponed because some platoon Sgt is under the weather.

I think the NFL imagined one or two people getting sick at a time. And ... well...

If zero Vikings get this, then I would contact trace the hell out of the people who got it. But I’m guessing the league does not want to know if 20 Titans went to the local Hooters on Sunday night.

If I’m the Chiefs and I have to play short handed, I’m raising holy hell after the Titans get to wait for full strength.

NFL scrambling for a workaround to a completely predictable situation. LOL

If zero Vikings get it, then everybody will know if 20 Titans went to the local Hooters on Sunday night.

The number is 10 (for now), right? Five players and five staffers?

Then the NFL was imagining in a stupid way. It was always going to be like this. The solution sort of works, though it kind of screws the Steelers out of their bye week. They didn't get to treat this week as if it was their bye. Having a bye this early is also a problem. The NFL is kidding its collective self if it thinks this isn't going to keep happening all season.

That's fair. I think I see where you are coming from now. I just think the NFL needs to come up with a plan going forward or just admit that competitive fairness is out the window this year and they don't have a plan at all.

Agreed. They had baseball to look at and the problems there. To think 46 guys plus support staffs running around the country were going to have better results than 30 guys and support staffs is crazy.

(Sorry, I got it in my head there were 50 people on an NFL team not 40)
