The only finals he was a part of that they lost in which they were favoured was the Mavericks series.

And coming back from 3-1 against a 73 win team is as impressive as anything any player has done in the finals.

So when they come back, it's credit to him as a player, but when he loses, it's a team game?

Has anyone actually suggested anything close to that?

The Heat team that lost to the Mavericks in 2011 lost in large part because LeBron didn't play well.

The Cavs team that beat Golden State in 2016 did it because LeBron was absolutely unworldly in those finals.

As impressive as anything a player has done or a team has done? If someone's going to argue that winning isn't a viable metric for a player because it's a team game, then it invalidates what JC just posted.

Why did Jordan only make 6 finals? Did those playoff series before the finals not mean anything?

we get it, you love anything Chicago, so like all Bulls fans LeBron is the Antichrist.

Not sure why you're pushing the either/or so hard.

I mean, he's brought some terribly outmatched teams to the finals, but ultimately he's one guy in a team sport. It's silly to reduce it to criticizing a guy who's been to ten finals because he hasn't won ten titles against mostly superior competition. As someone pointed out, that's basically arguing that Robert Horry is the GOAT.

In that Cavs win over the 73 win Warriors, they came back from 3-1 down and LeBron led both teams in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. It was absurd. He pretty much singlehandedly won that series for them, but to act like that is somehow the expectation every year is insanity.

Sometimes you win in spite of you’re team. And a Draymond Green kick to the nuts.

Which series did Jordan win where he was the underdog?

    These arguments are stupid.

I never once mentioned the word underdog. You did. As if that matters fuck-all. So, what, Jordan gets penalized for winning a lot during the regular season?

You’re right. These arguments are stupid. But not in the way you meant.

So why didn’t he make more finals. Spare me your fucking snark.

Jordan did not make finals becasue he took a couple years off for baseball. And also because he played in the same division as Detroit, who was better in the "Bad Boys" era. LeBron and his teams went to the NBA finals eight consecutive times playing in what was generally the weaker conference. If Cleveland and Golden State had been in the same conference then LeBron would have most likely been to three less finals.
