Even though they changed the character a great deal from the source material, I still figured it would go something like that.

 

It is really interesting to see somebody describe it as sobering given that the aim in much of the storytelling is batshit satire, but I can see what you mean. It certainly goes very dark.

I agree with Scout. I'm bored with the storylines for Deep and A-Train, but I like what they are doing with Lamplighter, especially the reaction of others to his costume in the flashback.

 

Watched the first episode of the latest season of Fargo and I’m intrigued. I never saw the movie or the previous seasons but read that each season stands on its own, so I’m giving it a shot.

Viewer reviews were mixed in IMDb because the tone is different than the other seasons.

 

Yeah, they do stand alone. Have it on the DVR. Will get to it.

Vibe may have been a better word choice than tone, but you’re not wrong when it comes to some of the viewer reviews.

 

The Masked Singer is bogus right? They have a few name artists appear (and lose) in the early shows - the artists get their name out there again but don't have the long-term commitment - the show gets pub for having a name artist on it.

Kind of an added thought - when "game shows/reality shows" feature celebrity contestants exclusively - are they still covered by the same "game show integrity" guidelines that regular game shows must follow?

Started Cobra Kai, through two episodes. Love the nostalgia.

 

They did an excellent job in season 1.
