    Lance Johnson (227 in 1996) and Jose Reyes (204 in 2008). Never dreamed Lance Johnson could have a 227-hit season. He was a very unappreciated player.

    Was expecting this to be someone like Gilkey and Wright.

    agree on Johnson. On paper, his 1996 season looks great and I wondered why he finished 18th in MVP voting. Then I looked at the numbers of the guys ahead of him....he finished about right.
