Retired actor Paul Dooley (best known for Sixteen Candles and Breaking Away) is a) still alive at 93, b) was once a stand-up comedian and c) wrote the Easy Reader sketches on the Electric Company for Morgan Freeman.

The Byrds appeared as many times on the the Grand Old Opry (1) as they did on the Ed Sullivan Show (1).

The plastic tags or metal ties sealing the bag on a loaf of bread tell you which day of the week it was baked on. The codes are as follows: Monday – blue, Tuesday – green, Thursday – red, Friday– white and Saturday – yellow.

The color coding makes it easier for employees to remove stale loaves from the shelves and replace them with fresh ones. The colors go in alphabetical order.

There's a secret code behind the color of those little twist ties on your bag of bread — here's what they mean
