Another super spreader event last week from the wackadoo wing of the GOP:

According to the last tweet in the thread, both Pence and Nikki Haley attended in person.

    Nov. 4th.

"Hey, this is Don Jr. calling Republican PA Pooh-ba about that Senate seat..."
    "Please hold.....(click)."

Please tell me Toomey is flipping parties.....pulling a Specter. It makes no sense to announce now.

Guys like Toomey are why we have Trump. Toomey makes Rick Santorum look somewhat reasonable. Good riddance.

PA voter here. Toomey is a piece of shit. He'll vote for Coney Barrett so that cushy no-show corporate board job or sweet GOP lobbying firm gig remains available to him.

He's only 58 though. Just seems the timing is weird.

Bill Barr now self-quarantining, according to several tweets that just scrolled by in a blur.

Still enough time to rack up lobbying cash before riding into the sunset in his late 60s and moving to the Jersey Shore.

Not directly related to any of this stuff, but a couple of Washington Post stories that I found fascinating, for the history, and especially for the names/people involved. Felt like I was taken back to another time, different cast -- and what a trip, reading the names of that cast -- and seeing in your mind's eye them going through what was probably a similar experience, with similar concerns, as what's occurring now.

And this one, with a seemingly similar, positive-at-all-costs approach, taken by people you might not expect to do that in such a situation.
