He doesn’t “like” anyone. Every person who leaves was stupid, were against him, untrustworthy, etc.
as soon as he is done with them, they become persona non grata. They are all just people who feed his ego, that’s how he and when he “likes” them. When they disagree with him, poof.

 

I'm not saying it should happen. Putting the barrel of a revolver against someone's head is an easy way out.

(Five percent and lower for all other scenarios.)

 

Rasmussen flips a coin and has Biden up by 12, so it's really 20.

This is spot on. I think the majority of Americans are just exhausted from the constant barrage of Trump and want his circus to leave town. He never shuts up and we just move from one chaotic event to another. Even Narcissus would kill himself after an hour with Trump.

People born after Watergate think of our broken political system as two groups of rich white geezers getting paid off by corporations and special interests. Democrats? Republicans? They're all crooks and looking out for themselves. And they're right. Since they've been around, that's all they've seen from Washington.

Xers and Millenials have other priorities: staying employed, paying bills, raising families. They don't have time to worry about ideologies, especially when the ideals are inaccessable to them. They liked Obama because he connected with them. But neither party got the message, obviously, because we're back to old geezers again. How can anyone under 40 get excited when one party pushes Biden, Sanders and Warren to counter Trump, Pence and McConnell? If you're 22, there's no difference because all old people -- particularly rich white politicans -- have forgotten what it's like to be 22.

Maybe that's where Kamala Harris can perhaps make a difference. And we definitely need to cultivate more Obamas or anyone who resonantes with younger voters.

Claudia Conway is the touchstone of the future of American politics, figuratively. She's connected to a million other people who see the con game for what it is. And they can't be the only ones who distrust anyone in power.

Catchy slogans, flags and lawn signs, fake promises, attack ads and mailers? They're not reaching the people who grew up with technology and social media. The kids, our future voters, want a better future. They don't want to die in a mass shooting or because of global warming or a pandemic or because of lack of quality health care, but the current system has failed them over and over and over again.

And the first pol who figures out how to honestly and personally connect with them is going to have a huge advantage, no matter how many aging Boomers go to the polls.
