    I've said for two years now that Hawley is angling for a run in 2024. He's as demented as Trump, but he's younger and better looking than Trump — if you can get past the hominy-size teeth. He's only a senator because he beat the most beatable candidate in fucking Claire McCaskill.

    And I still say he's Martin Sheen in "The Dead Zone."

    Why hasn't anybody ever done a sequel miniseries, "La Casa Ziahuatenejo," centering around Andy and Red's resort hotel and fishing charter business in the 1980s-90s?

    I envision a Warren Zevon/Jimmy Buffett character sitting at the bar with his guitar.

    Andy Dufresne went to Shawshank prison, probably in the late 1930s. He was already in his 20s. He escaped from Shawshank prison in 1966. By the 1980s-90s, Red was surely dead, and at best Andy was retired.

    He's the embodiment of so many boomers that I know and am related to. They're old and refuse to acknowledge it. I think a lot of these slaps follow him because he makes them still feel relevant because they're the same age.
