15 of the previous 19 justices have been nominated/confirmed by GOP presidents. That's 79 percent.

Why hasn't the court shown such a rightward lean in its decisions? It should have been a reliable 7-2 GOP court since Nixon. But it hasn't been. Why is that?

Because GOP-appointed justices veer left over time much more often than the other way around. It's a well-known observance.

I see Quinnipiac is rated as a B-plus per 538. If the Ossoff-Perdue or the GA presidential is anywhere near the numbers those polls indicate, election night will be over very early.
