I think EVERYONE thinks of Wilson as a top five QB, and has for quite some time now. He's usually in the MVP discussion. Not sure what you've been hearing.

There isn't another quarterback in the league who's turned as many shoulda-been losses into wins in the fourth quarter as has Russell Wilson.

For the past 10 years or so, it's been (in no particular order), Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger and Rodgers pretty securely in the top five. That's four future Hall of Famers with a long track record of success.
The other spot has sort of rotated between a fifth guy that might or might not have included Wilson at various times -- Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning. All of those guys won MVP awards in the last 10 years and Wilson has not.

I'm not trying to denigrate Wilson. My point is that, for whatever reason, he often flies under the radar when thinking of that top-tier, elite group of QBs in any given season. When I think of the great QBs of the 2010s, I rattle off five or six of the guys I mentioned and then think, "Oh yeah, I suppose Russell Wilson belongs in there too."
Maybe we take him for granted because of his consistency, or because the Seahawks haven't done much in the playoffs since their two Super Bowl appearances. He's probably underrated a bit, which is weird considering how consistently good he and the Seahawks have been.

The only dysfunctional one is Beckham and he really hasn't been a problem. The lack of productivity can be traced back to one person.

Outside of Maholmes, there is no other QB I want taking snaps for my team other than Wilson next Sunday or next season or for the next 10 seasons.

    He’s great.

If you watched Sunday’s game and thought Beckham really wasn’t a problem, then I’m sure the Browns have a front office position for you.

What did he do wrong, in the game, on the field? He was open all day. Got four targets. How is that on him? And I can't stand that guy, so defending him is painful. But he's done nothing wrong.

Was it my imagination or was Garrett lining up on the offense's right side much of the game yesterday. He absolutely destroyed Villanueva in the first meeting of those teams last year. I know the Steelers have a new starter on the right side, but I would have still wanted more of that matchup from last year.

I thought even before the game that the absence of Teller and Chubb would be a big deal. That may have been a blowout Sunday, but I could see the second meeting being a much better game if the Browns get their guys back.

I don't buy the premise that Wilson flies under the radar. Especially not this year. He's a high-profile star. He is almost universally regarded as one of the five best quarterbacks in the NFL and that has been the case for a number of years now.

I'm not sure why they move Garrett to the left side. Sometimes they play him at tackle, too. They obviously can't just line him up every play on the blind side, though. No matter where he goes, though, he will never be one-on-one.

The Browns may need to win that game to get in the playoffs. The Steelers may not even need to play it. Although that's less likely with only one team getting a bye this year. But unless Mayfield improves dramatically, Cleveland is a long way from competing with Pittsburgh and/or Baltimore.

Probably an unpopular take, but I don’t think Booger is anywhere near as bad as the Twitterati claim. I’m happy ESPN stuck with him.

Number one, he’s enthusiastic. To me, this is such an under-appreciated characteristic of a good broadcaster. He genuinely loves what he’s doing and watching. Viewers notice this. Second, he’s knowledgeable. I learn something from him. Third, he comes across as a good guy.

You can work with all this. Maybe the first attempt didn’t accomplish what was wanted, but I saw to enough to say, “Give him the reps, and he will get there.”
