I've seen that situation unfold within my own circle of friends. They share a devastating loss, grieve together and -- being human -- sometimes shit happens. I absolutely would never do that myself but I also don't condemn nor condone in that case. That's their business.

I understand the sentiment, and can have sympathy. But we should realize that he can probably barely remember the car crash and/or even his mother/sister -- if he actually does so at all. That's unfortunate, but it's also the reality. Any "memories" he has of any of them is a result of pictures and the narrative he was taught while growing up, not organic to his own mind.

 

Way too little, far too late. Disappear and spare us the "Well ... I never really liked him" crap. No one is buying it.
