I have no idea whether your statement about not giving the story oxygen is accurate or not. That sounds like a theory that people who want to agree with a candidate come up with to explain their candidate's reaction.

This summer, a former staff member accused Joe Biden of sexual assault.

Here's what Biden said: "I'm saying unequivocally: It never, never happened. And it didn't."

He gave the story "oxygen." He said it was false. And it went away.

Why did he do that? And why is this different?
