Alma, I promise faithfully not to vote for Hunter Biden if he likes child pornography. Hell, I'll take it a step farther and promise not to vote for him even if he doesn't.

    There. Happy now?

With regard to the pee tape, I don't recall any reporting that the women involved gave Trump golden showers. The reporting was that he paid them to stand on the bed Obama slept in and pee on that.

Given Trump's hatred of Obama and his subsequent dismantling of any of Obama's works he could, I find it an entirely plausible possibility..

They have certainly been covered extensively.

    Even widely.

But based on what little we actually know about the ventures and adventures of the Trump family - the conflicts of interest, the foreign business entanglements, the influence peddling, etc. - I wouldn't say anyone in the press has covered them well.

Rudy out there telling people the American people deserve to hear the Hunter Biden story even if it's not accurate. Isn't that a tell?

There is little evidence to demonstrate the authenticity of the emails. There's no reason to believe the story of how Giuliani obtained the information, as reporting has revealed. Did someone hack Hunter Biden and give Giuliani bunch of information, some of it true and some of it fabricated? That's certainly much more plausible, given what we know about what Giuliani's been up to the last couple years.

For someone chastising everyone else here for their lack of journalistic diligence, you seem awfully eager to take Rudy Giuliani, Rupert Murdoch and someone whose previous job before having a byline on only these stories was working for Hannity at their word.

The accusation of rape was quite specific. This allegation is not. Biden probably wrote an email to Burisma at some point. If he denies this and then an innocuous e-mail is released then he looks like a liar. If a specific allegations with supporting evidence are made then people can start to check stories out.

I early voted this afternoon. And I wish I'd filmed what happened.

Old man about five people back from is wearing a tee shirt, cap and face mask supporting one of the candidates. A poll worker is going down the line (the first time in 19 years of voting at this location there was a line, BTW) explaining procedures. She gets to him and says, politely, "Sir, you can't wear items supporting a candidate or ballot issue within 100 feet of the door or inside when you're voting."

The old man erupts and begins yelling about it being "UnAmerican." He says he wants to speak to the person in charge. The woman says she is in charge and will gladly show him a copy of the law outlawing electioneering - AFTER he changes his shirt, cap and mask. The old man pulls out a battered pocket copy of the Constitution and says "show me where it says in IN HERE."

At that point, a guy in front of me turns around and yells "SHUT UP and do what you're told if you want to vote. Quit being a snowflake."

Old man says, "I'm a veteran!"

Guy in front of me says "I am too! I got two Purple Hearts in Afghanistan."

The female election worker chimes in with "I got one of those in Iraq."

Old man shuffles off to his truck, leading to applause from the 40 or so folks in line.

Guy in front of me glances as me and says "Regards of politics, fuckin' assholes are ruining this country."

When a Republican Governor removes the mask mandates and opens the restaurants and bars and then the Covid numbers in their states spike three weeks later, what do *those* numbers tell you?

Too many of us remember 2016 to be comfortable, no matter what the polls and the map says. We want to win by such an enormous margin that all Trump's bullshit and all the Russian meddling will not be enough to make the possibility of Trump winning believable.

The more you win by the easier (NOT easy) it is to govern successfully, which is the point of the exercise.
