They’re all going to prison, but Betsy DeVos is going someplace far warmer than prison after that.

I don't think we can overestimate the impact having a President who doesn't mainline cable news 24/7 will have on the stability of America. Cable news has a "regular" audience of maybe 30 percent of America total, split amongst themselves, and maybe about a third of those are daily watchers who track the news like its a soap opera.
Trump's term has been four year of police chases, car crashes, fires, violence caught on tape that might make for great TV ratings, but make for a lousy Presidency.
The truth is - the other 70 percent who have been busy living their lives, watching HGTV and NCIS, going to school and working two jobs are about to weigh in.
Can't wait to have the news be boring once again.

Amy Coney Barrett just threw her rosary beads across the room and doesn’t know why.

The president commits crimes on an almost daily basis. His virus response has been criminally negligent. He's openly and repeatedly spoken of refusing to accept the results if he loses and of staying in power after the constitutional limits. There is little likelihood of him being prosecuted for any of these things. he constantly calls for political opponents to be jailed and investigated with no basis. He hasn't done these things without help. Just moving on after his electoral defeat like those things didn't happen or that they're "just politics" signals to the next authoritarian and the party that supports him that these things are acceptable. Perhaps the next authoritarian won't have a pandemic in an election year to derail things. At a certain point we have stop with the false equivalencies and say that bad things are bad, and confront them. That's only a "culture war" because a decent percentage of the population is on board with those things.

Was the 9/11 Commission a culture war? Or was it an examination of the terrible thing that happened, the reasons it happened and an attempt to prevent something like it from happening again?
