There is something to be said for the depths we could have plumbed were Trump replaced by someone who was competent, focused and not self-sabotaging, such as Ted Cruz or Cotton.

Coyotes aren't bringing anyone in. Won't go all the way out to Glendale.

 

One is a racist asshole who said kids in cages are being very "well taken care of."

The other said something about oil.

Come on.

 

Which is why Pennsylvanians threw him out on his ass.

 

So Trump won because he was less of a blithering idiot than normal and because Biden said something about oil that we should be doing?

Is that what I’m hearing?

He said “go ahead.” A little raspy because he’s not over Covid.

 

If the Biden campaign doesn't use his quote "People are learning to die from it" in response to Trump's "We're learning to live with the virus," his campaign manager should be dropped into a mile-deep mineshaft.

 

Whoever tweeted that stole it from Dale, who compared his job to the very same Lucy show.

 

And if Biden doesn't, the Lincoln Project will.

 

FWIW, among the dozen or so "undecided" voters CNN hosted at Davidson in North Carolina, not one of them said they thought the President won the debate. Two said it was a draw. The rest said Biden won.

 

I was at a football game and only caught the end of it, but two thoughts:

1. Trump needed a knockout and failed to deliver.

2. Biden could have answered the final oil question a lot better by stating that the marketplace will decide, much as it's doing so with coal now. His answer instead will hurt him in Texas and also possibly in the home of Pennzoil.
