I denounce the absence of a blue font here, although it's definitely implied.
All the trees and shadows here, this place looks more like Augusta National than Vegas.

I give DeChambeau another year, 18 months before the back and knee injuries start kicking in.

Watching CJ Cup and seeing Schauffele hit a shot is brutal.

    Adam Scott tests positive.

This is a cruel little joke on two levels: Scott was the most cautious of the superstars about coming out to play after the Tour resumed in June. He said he still wasn't comfortable and waited until the PGA in August.

And, he was replaced in the field by Jim Herman, the pro from Trump.

    Hope Herman shoots 88-89

Would be interesting to see another one of those golf.com (or whoever else does it) confidential player polls asking who they're voting for. Might the Tour actually not be vast-majority Republican this year? Or is that crazy talk?

How many golfers on the PGA tour would say yes to a Donald Trump invitation?

At Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles last week, I asked more than one-third of the Genesis Open field that question, granting the respondents anonymity so they wouldn’t risk the wrath of their Twitter followers or, in the case of at least one pro, the fury of his wife. The players range in age from the early 20s to late 40s. They represent nine countries and make their homes in 14 American states, including four that voted overwhelmingly Democratic in last year’s presidential election.

Of the 56 players polled, 50 — or 89.3 percent — said they would play golf with Trump if asked. Only three said they would not. The remaining three declined to answer.

Golfweek did a story during the 1996 election year. They actually found that half of the players interviewed weren't even registered. The survey found two Democrats on the PGA Tour at the time: David Duval and Billy Andrade.

That's some impressive digging to check registrations.
