    Someone on Twitter described this election as a midterm happening in a presidential year, which I think is smart.

    There’s 14 seriously contested senate races with the dems having two and the GOP the rest. Doug Jones is a likely loser but on the GOP side it could be a wipeout. A historic collapse with the only real question being how big the win is for the Dems.

    As for the presidency, it reminds me of some local/state races I’ve covered where the winner was decided in the early vote and Election Day just sets the margin.
