I'm not sure why Trump just doesn't shout "Hillary! Obama! Witch Hunt!" on a loop at his rallies. It would make more sense than the shit that comes out of his mouth.

 

If she does, then it seals the deal on expanding the Supreme Court and, probably, term-limits for them as well as a serious expansion of the lower courts, with a likely circuit between appeals and SCOTUS.

The Dems already had momentum because of Garland, but Barrett's nomination is already so norms-busting, and if her first day on the job is a rubber stamp for extreme Republican positions, then a nine-seat SCOTUS is done, if the Dems can get to 50 Senate seats.

I was listening to a podcast over the weekend and someone said something I thought was very true — Trump is running as an insurgent candidate railing against the unfairness of our institutions rather than as an incumbent in charge of most of those institutions.

 

This is correct. Some very respected “pollsters.”
