The mindset of police union leaders really shakes my confidence in law enforcement. They're like firefighters who start fires. I'm tired of cities having to "beg" police to do better and risk a bout of "blue flu." It's also made me realize police won't change until cities change the police. I like the idea some cities have started of deploying experienced mental health professionals and other well-trained people to respond to issues that police are ill-suited for. Perhaps at some point, cities will be able to redeploy some dollars and money will be saved from legal settlements and less need for armed police.

 

I heard copper could fix a balky prostate. Was that not true?

 

I'm feeling more hopeful that Biden can get close to 350 Electoral votes. He now has a lead in Georgia, and Ohio is back in play. Sure, things can change in the last week and most Republicans are said to vote on Election Day, but even if Biden loses Florida, polls show he is still at about 320.
