Not voting for a Democrat even a black Democrat ≠ Racism

Telling your state that Black people can live in South Carolina so long as they subscribe to the prevailing attitudes of the state? racist > not

Are you arguing that Harrison didn’t lose because of racism or that South Carolina doesn’t have plenty of racists or both?

I don't have the faintest idea why he lost, and I'm sure dear old South Cackalackey punches above its weight when it comes to racists-per-capita.

But saying that "putting a black guy up was never ever ever going to work in state wide election in South Carolina" when South Carolina has a fucking Black Senator?

Seriously, are they using moose to count votes in Maine? Nobody lives there, how many votes can there be?
God, how could that knuckle-dragger win? My friends in RVA say she's a great Congresswoman.

If he’s still alive then, 78-year-old Donald Trump will be so deep in dementia that he won’t be able to eat solid food.

I could say something about white southerners loving their Toms, which takes the form of “He’s one of the good ones” in today’s language, dating back at least 250 years but I don’t know if that’s at play here, so fair enough.
