Repubs: You want anarchy in the streets!

Dems: No we, like the name says, want to Fund the Community.

When people hear "defund the police" they think take police away. And you can't argue against it unless they actually ask you about it and even then the explainer is so messy.
"You want to take away police?"
"No, I want to reallocate funds so people who need help get the help they need and police deal with real crime"
"So you want to take money away from police?"
"And give it to mental health people so police can focus on crime more"
"How can they focus on crime with less money?"
"Because they don't have to spend it on people with mental health problems"
"But they need money to fight the crime and you want to defund them..."

If you call it something like "Make Cities Safe" you don't have a branding problem and can get people actually asking questions.

 

Get them hotter patrol cars instead of tanks. For every minute a cop spends in a tank he spends ten years in the damn car. Give 'em something not necessarily lethal to appeal to their inner childs.

 

When is the last time a Dem aired an attack ad that was nationally shamed and deemed to have "crossed the line." Maybe they should start doing a couple and see how it plays.
Trump hanging out with pedophiles. Selling off various states to China to pay off the debt. Republicans pushing drugs and getting your grandma hooked on Oxy. Stuff like that.

 

I read it more as that he knows Trump was just waiting until after the election to fire him, and he's not waiting to be pushed.
